— Cj-Psb features some of Cambridge University's top jazz musicians: past and present CUJO (Cambridge University Jazz Orchestra) members plus bassist Freddie Jensen, finalist in the BBC Young Musician of the Year Jazz Award 2014. For this show they'll perform a mix of originals and compositions by jazz greats such as Wayne Shorter and Charles Mingus.
Jon Kanen: tenor saxophone
Chris McMurran: keyboards
Robin Jacob-Owens: alto saxophone
Freddie Jensen: bass
Dan Yao: drums
Be sure to check out their future shows featuring vocalist Fenja Akinde-Hummel where they also dig into neo-soul and funk.
— Disrespectful, down-and-dirty sounds that makes you realise jazz is a four-letter word, Fromage a Trois came together to shake up listeners' assumptions about what 'jazz' can be. Subverting pop tunes and jazz standards with a raucous, anarchic ethic, this is music that will make you smile and tap your feet.
David Ellingham: sundry saxophones
Art Toper: keyboards
Giulio Lampronti: bass
Derek Scurll: drums
