Join us for an evening of fun, food and fundraising!
This Black Tie event will include a drinks reception, three course dinner with wine, Swagger live band, a close-up magician and a Silent Auction with fabulous prizes.
The Ball is being organised by Sue Isaacson to raise money for the Oncology Day Unit at Addenbrookes. This is a charity close to Sue’s heart as her daughter Samantha was diagnosed with terminal cancer two years ago and attends the oncology unit regularly, having so far undergone 50 rounds of chemotherapy treatment. Sam herself has already raised £17,000 organising two women’s charity football matches – The Kick Cancer Cup — in an incredible thank-you effort to staff at the Oncology Unit. This year the Kick Cancer Cup match takes place on 27th September.
All monies raised from the Ball will go directly to the Oncology Day Unit, to help transform the facilities for cancer patients in Cambridgeshire. Sadly, year upon year, demand for the Day Unit increases and the latest statistics show that 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with some form of cancer during their lifetime.
Sue and Sam would love for you to be involved and are offering local Companies the opportunity to provide some sponsorship of the event in return for advertising on the website, in the programme and with our media partner the Cambridge Independent newspaper. Alternatively if you would like to donate a prize for the silent auction or raffle, please get in touch.
Tickets for our black-tie ball cost £55 per person and can be purchased individually or as a table of 10. VIP tickets are £75 per person and include a table of 10 near the stage with 3 bottles of champagne. Tickets must be purchased in advance and it is recommended that tickets or full tables be booked early as it is anticipated that there will be high demand.
