Our seasonal series of Science on Sundays talks bring the latest discoveries in plant science to our visitors in a 30 minute nutshell.

For everything there is a season, plants flower and grow at different times of the year and this enables them to maximise their chances of reproductive success but how do plants know the calendar? Dr Phil Wigge, Research Group Leader Sainsbury Laboratory, University of Cambridge, will explain some recent scientific breakthoughs from around the world in our understanding of how plants sense light and temperature to drive their lifecycle.

Free 30 minute talk held in the Garden Classroom starting 11am and repeated at 2pm, drop in, aimed at age12+. Normal Garden admission applies.
