SMOC occassionally put together a team for WAOC's fun summer orienteering activity — Punt-O — an evening orienteering in historic Cambridge based on punts moving along the Cam on Wednesday 21st June:
WAOC's Annual Punt Orienteering is based on a punt moving on the River Cam with runners leaving the punt to run short courses before meeting up with their punt again.
Mixture of urban & park orienteering and punting: White and Orange standard courses around park for Juniors (or Seniors) and urban courses for Seniors.
Open to all — No punting or even running experience required (you can opt out of punting (e.g. just be punted) or running).
Picnic follows at about 8.30 p.m.
Just turn up to join in as ad hoc team will be formed on the night (or you can create a team of 6/7 in advance if you prefer).
Location: Trinity Punts, Google map, Postcode CB3 9DA
Timings: 6.45 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. Bring your own Picnic afterwards from 8.30 p.m. at Jesus Green. Aim to present results before 9.00 p.m.
