#runandtalk is an England Athletics campaign supported by Mind, the Mental Health charity, to improve mental wellbeing through running by:
1. Getting people talking about mental health, sharing their experiences and removing stigma
2. Raising awareness of mental health problems
3. Supporting people experiencing mental health problems to start, return to and continue running
The Cambridge #RunAndTalk event will have something for everyone. If you're an avid runner or haven't laced up your trainers since those dreaded cross country days at school or anywhere in between you are very welcome to come along and join in.
All participants aged 12+ welcome
Meet at 10.30am by the Public Toilets on Jesus Green
10.30am — Group Warm Up
10.40am — There will be qualified run leaders leading different run or run/walk options.
From 11.30am — We will be meeting in Thirsty on Chesterton Road where teas/coffees and soft drinks will be available to purchase, feel free to join us for a chat. You don't have to talk about mental health if you don't want to.
