Cambridge University Library has a rich collection of sixteenth-century medical books from the founders of modern anatomy. This includes first editions of the De humani corporis fabrica (pictured) by Andreas Vesalius (1514-1564), Imperial Physician at the court of Emperor Charles V and works by Johann Dryander and Charles Estienne. The display shows different depictions of dissection of the brain.
The University Library will open to visitors on Saturday June 24 from 09:00-16:45, where you will be able to view a special ‘pop up’ exhibition in the Entrance Hall.
