Depression, anxiety and stress are the cause of 13 million lost working days per year in the UK. Mindfulness training is proving to be a vital antidote for addressing this upward trend.

Many high profile companies such as Apple Computer, Google, Yahoo, Astra Zeneca, Procter and Gamble, Starbucks and others, understand the huge potential of this evidence-based, highly researched approach and have Mindfulness programs deeply embedded in their work settings.

This evenings session will offer an opportunity for you to find out more about the benefits & the scientific evidence that makes Mindfulness not just another passing fad, but a highly effective stress reduction program. The evening will be delivered Carolyn Pallon, Clinical Psychologist, Mindfulness and meditation teacher, who has over 20 years’ experience working as a Consultant Clinical Psychologist in the NHS alongside delivering Mindfulness in the corporate world. Carolyn has a passion for promoting psychological resilience and wellbeing, for translating compelling and inspiring theory and scientific evidence into good practice and for equipping people to flourish and thrive. She is particularly interested in the neuroscience of mindfulness and how the practice can reawaken innate wisdom, creativity and ultimately encourage natural benevolence and happiness to flow.

This evening is offered as a taster session to encourage you to deepen your learning and practice by gifting yourself with the 4 week Mindfulness Course offered by the Rising Network. The course will introduce you to the core skills of the industry gold standard 8 week Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction program.

You will learn a variety of practices and strategies to get to know the workings of your mind – to take care of your mind – so you can wake up to your life with more ease, skill and vitality. Information about the 4 week Mindfulness Course will be live very soon!
