In a 30 minute nutshell, Dr Andrew Tanentzap, Department of Plant Sciences, will introduce the unique adaptations of the New Zealand flora. Predators may leave an imprint on the traits of their plant prey that persists even after they become extinct. In this talk, Andrew considers how surrogates for extinct megafauna may help to conserve certain plant species. This research will help conserve plant diversity and inform landscape restoration.

Free drop-in talks giving insight into plant science, suitable for age 12+, normal Garden admission applies. At 11am and repeated at 2pm
